CALLING ALL NEIGHBORS! You're a good neighbor, and if you're like us, you want to leave your community better than you found it. 

The Good Neighbor Project is an annual event where we take a Sunday to leave our communities better than we found them. We believe that Jesus cares as deeply as we do about our communities; because of that, we want to roll up our sleeves and help where we are needed. 

2026 Projects!

Childcare is available for children 0 - 5 years of age during the Good Neighbor Project. It's FREE, and the kids will have a project of their own. Childcare will be located at our Westside Farmington Campus from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Life Church will host an after-GNP barbecue! They will start serving food at about 12pm.

SCHOOL CLEANUP PROJECTS

  • Aloha High School Little Warriors Preschool - Aloha High Area (Middle Schoolers only) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Pick up pinecones and rake up all pine needles and bag them and dispose of them. Preferably in a yard waste dumpster if available. Remove all toys from large playhouse and spray down with power-hose. Remove all dirt, cobwebs and spiders. Wipe down, clean and dry with paper towels. Power hose Playhouse to remove all spider, bugs and cobwebs inside and out. Put back all clean toys inside the clean playhouse.Power hose sand box/water activity center. Remove all dirt and leaves. Wipe down with paper towels. Add one small bag of sand into designated sandbox on the activity center. Add some pyrite fool's gold if available. Add 5 (4") flower pots into the flower box on the side of the Playhouse. Add one small bag of potting soil to garden planter. Plant two small tomato plants and two herb plants.

  • Aloha Huber Elementary - Aloha Area
    (Ages 4 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Outside areas cleanup- weeding, raking, pruning, litter pickup, general sprucing up of school grounds outside.

  • Mountain View Middle School - Aloha Area
    (Ages 4 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Some hand pulling of weeds and weed whacking, especially in back near portables, then mowing in back. Using weed whackers or actual edgers, around campus to make everything look nice.

    Using weed whackers or hand pulling weeds in the parking lots. Removing these would also spruce up our grounds and not make MTV look so run down and overgrown. Also, weeding and pressure washing the courtyard, and spreading some bark mulch.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

  • Joyce & Susan Yard Cleanups in Pineridge Park - Aloha Area
    (Ages 10 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Weed by hand and/or with garden tools, prune shrubs/trees/bushes, rake leaves, pine needles, and debris, and clear it out.

    Generally spruce up these two nice older ladies' yards, and help keep their HOA happy with them.

  • Marge's Yard Cleanup
    (Ages 10 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Use weed whackers, and hand tools to weed, mow yard, prune bushes, shrubs, and small trees. Rake up yard debris, and clear it out.

    Marge is a sweet widow, with a large yard who needs some help keeping the yard from turning into a jungle.

  • Saving Grace Maternity Home
    (Ages 10 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Saving Grace Maternity Home needs some help with weeding, mowing, pruning, general yard cleanup, staining of the outdoor deck and stairs, and possibly some other cleaning.

  • Random Acts of Kindness
    (All ages) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Deliver treats, thanks, and encouragement to our local police and fire stations, and spread some kindness and words of encouragement in our community.

  • Prayer Walk - Aloha Area
    (All ages) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Walk with Gabe or others in small groups in the neighborhoods around Westside Community Church and Aloha HS, and pray for peace, unity, and coming to Jesus for our community and neighbors.

  • Graffiti Cleanup - #1
    (Ages 10 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    We will paint over graffiti in our neighborhoods to help the area look nicer, and discourage gang activity.

    Pick up trash and debris along 185th (and possibly beyond) to help our neighborhood look its best.

  • Salvation Army Veterans Family Home
    (Ages 10 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Weed flower beds and areas around walkways and parking lot, mow, prune bushes/trees/shrubs, and possibly some light cleaning at this awesome apartment complex for our veterans and their families.

  • Recovery House Outreach
    (Ages 18 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Visit recovery houses in this area to clean, do small repairs, do yard work, and offer support and encouragement to those in recovery.

  • NW Children's Outreach Hygiene Kit Assembly
    (Ages 4 and above) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Assemble hygiene kits for women and children coming out of difficult situations, who are participating in programming through NW Children's Outreach.

  • Maryville Nursing Home
    (Ages 4 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Visit with some of the residents at Maryville Nursing Home, deliver handmade cards and flowers, and sing with/for residents, and accompanied by Evan on guitar.

  • Jean's Yard Cleanup
    (Ages 10 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Jean is a blind widow, who has struggled to keep up her home and yard since her husband died. Her yard needs to be mowed. Her gutters need to be cleaned up. There is quite a bit of weeding, pruning, and raking of debris to be done.

  • Brenda's Yard Cleanup
    (Limited to the Young Adults Group) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Brenda is a single mom, who desperately needs some help taming her yard. There's a lot of overgrown vegetation, majority is blackberry vines on both sides of the home; so much on one side that they can't even open the fence door. Trees that need trimming, weeding, mowing.

  • Prayer Team at Westside Community Church During Event
    (Ages 15 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Pray for all of the projects and participants involved in GNP 2026, that everyone stay safe, and that we reach people who need to be reached, and bring the love of Jesus into our neighborhoods in practical ways.

  • Media Team
    (Ages 18 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Take photos and video of the various projects happening throughout the community for promotional purposes.

  • Child Care
    (Volunteers 16 and above) 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Parents will drop off the kids ages 0- 5 years before the Rally at Aloha High School! Child care provided for kids 0- 5 years at Westside Community Church during GNP. The kids will have their very own project for the event.

  • Caring for the Elders (Ages 14 & up) | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm 

    Wash out my refrigerator, clean shower in one bathroom, the other bathroom the tub and wipe one out cabinet.

    If time permits the front yard has some weeds that need to go away.
