Legendary Living Starts with LETTING GO

God call us all to SURRENDER

The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father's family, and go to the land that I will show you.”
-Genesis 12:1

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home... He went without knowing where he was going.
-Hebrews 11:8

The struggle is to STAY SURRENDERED

As he was approaching the border of Egypt, Abram said to his wife, Sarai, “Look, you are a very beautiful woman. When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.…’ So please tell them you are my sister.
-Genesis 12:11-13

20 Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21 He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises.
-Romans 4:20-21

The result of obedience is BLESSING

Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants, so they could have children.    -Genesis 20:17

Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith. He was even called the friend of God.    -James 2:23

There will be a TEST

1 Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith. “Abraham!” God called. “Yes,” he replied. “Here I am.” 2 “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”
-Genesis 22: 1-2

13 Then Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught by its horns in a thicket. So he took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering in place of his son. 14 Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the Lord will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
-Genesis 22:13-14
